Posted by admin Comments (0)

For the savvy fashionista who doesn’t have a Paris Hilton style allowance, the only place for bargain hunting is online. Fashion trends for this year see a lot of retro style accessories, so looking online at auctions sites and second hand stores can be the best way to find these gems for bargain price. Raiding your grandma’s and mums old wardrobes can also pay off in a big way – you never know what little miracles you will find in that old ‘chuck out’ box of clothes in the attic

For women fashion trends are an important part of the way we shop. Going outside the trends can either mean you are being avant-garde or simply out of touch. Women who need plus size clothing shouldn’t despair of the runway’s obsession with size 4, as there are a lot of options available for trendy plus size clothes online.

One of the premier places to find cheap trendy clothing is online auction sites. Many people and companies sell new and pre-loved clothing online, and some of it at well below the retail cost. This is a great way to find plus size trendy clothing as well, as there are dedicated plus-size companies which sell through these sites.

Another online option is to join ‘brand sites’ which are websites which offer members exclusive discounts on branded clothing sometimes as much as at a 70% markdown from retail prices. These are usually in limited ranges and sizes, though joining up to a few and seeing what is on offer is an ideal way to scout for trendy clothes online.

Online warehouse sites are also a great method of finding fabulous trendy clothes at dirt cheap prices, this is also true of seconds resellers. The thing with seconds stores is that whilst the product had some defect which made it not reach the retail stores, usually this is something so small (and almost always fixable with a needle and thread) that it is well worth looking into.

The internet provides one of the greatest resources for sourcing trendy clothing for half the price you would pay at retail stores, and for the astute shopper they can have the wardrobe of a celebrity, on an everyday person’s salary. Online it’s all about being savvy and searching for the best product at the lowest price. There are bargains out there, so get going and keep you eye out for those cheap trendy clothes now!

Fashion Trends of 2010

Posted by admin Comments (0)
The world of fashion is ever evolving, always exciting and never commonplace. 2010 proves to be lining up a fabulous set of trends for consumers, from the runways right to the department stores there’s a lot in store with the fashion trends of this season.

For women fashion trends are in more subdued and earthy tones, with spring seeing a mix of pretty pinks and pastel hues thrown in. The ‘future warrior’ theme adds onto the roman/amazon style sandals and tunics we began to see in 2009 and adds coppers and intricate plaited fabrics to the mix.

Trendy clothes to be seen in this spring include a silky satin version of the playsuit or jumpsuit as well as cute hotpants and cut off-jeans. Denim is all about cut and ripped or distressed fabric, with patched denim getting a mention in 2010. Boyfriend blazers are also hot for this year, which adds some great options for plus size clothes, as does the reappearance of slacks for the winter months.

Dior’s collection for spring 2010 sees some trendy clothing on the runway, with ankle boots, structured shoulders, clinched waists and a 1950’s perfectly coifed hairdo getting a nod.

Chanel had a very white palette, with knee-highs featuring and very feminine frills mixed with boyish blazers and a tight waist. Plus size trendy clothing will get a friend in the resurgence of the poncho for the winter season.

For the guys the fashion trends are focusing on broad shoulders, slim pants and slim waist cuts. Suiting appears to be all about mixing patterns with rich sombre tones and clean lines. The double breasted suit is in, and a slim-fit cut is perfection for 2010.

Tones were subdued at the Versace men’s collection for summer 2010, with a lot of white and cream on low waisted slacks and relaxed blazers. Dior’s Homme collection was a nod back to the Beatles days and those of punk England, but with a monochrome palette of black and white. Skinny pants for men are still definitely in.

2010 looks to be a year of structure, careful design and detailing. Accessories include bows on headbands, knee-high and thigh-high socks and delicate feminine lockets on satin strings. Trend-setters can expect to add subdued and earthy tones along with a pastel palette to their wardrobe however the addition of a brightly coloured accessory to show that ray of hope is what 2010 is all about.

Fashion Jewelry is Easy on the Eyes and the Pocketbook

Fashion Jewelry

Fashion jewelry is jewelry thought to be both affordable and trendy among women. At one time it was known as paste jewelry because it was stuck to the costumes of actresses, and added shine and glitter to them. Later on fashion jewelry used for costumes came to be known as costume jewelry.

Today, a more appropriate definition of fashion jewelry is jewelry that is in vogue – that is a jewelry that is in fashion. You’ll see actresses wear jewelry on television. They’re the hot rocks every woman wants to sport. Sometimes timeless pieces of vintage jewelry may also become fashionable, But then such jewelry is available with only a few people. ie ya gotta have the bucks.

Unlike gold or platinum jewelry, fashion jewelry can be bought by all people. It is much more affordable as compared to gold or platinum jewelry or jewelry studded with semiprecious stones. You don’t need the rich stuff to get sparkle. Dirt cheap bright stones can spice your rings, chains, chokers and bracelets. You can see them advertised on places like Jewelry Television.

The materials that are used for making fashion jewelry range from wood to synthetic materials. Carved or engraved wood jewelry is especially popular among teenagers. Rhinestone is another favorite–and its not just for cowboys. Rhinestone is used in rings, bracelets and chains by many happy women. Another material that is commonly used is Lucite; it is synthetically produced. Besides this, synthetically produced gemstones are also used to make jewelry sets. Acrylic and ceramic though not that common are also used for designing.

Almost all the settings are done on a base metal. Brass comes first. But there’s also copper and silver. They are cheaper as compared to other metals. They are also easy to work on. Many have found a liking for green or even pink gold, which is produced by adding other metals to gold to produce a slight hue. Gold plated jewelry and gold filled jewelry also form an important part of fashion jewelry offerings.
